Carrie Cantor is a veteran editor who has been in publishing for over 25 years. Carrie began her career as a journalist covering international politics and economics. As an acquisitions editor at Carol Publishing, she originated ideas for books and worked closely with authors to develop them. For the past decade, Carrie has helped authors prepare proposals and has edited manuscripts for trade and educational publishers, as well as for private clients.

For Joelle Delbourgo Associates, Carrie has edited a wide variety of books, including medical and scientific books, self-help, memoir, fiction, and more. Titles she has worked on include: HAPPY ACCIDENTS: Serendipity in Modern Medical Breakthroughs by Morton Meyers, M.D., TALK TO ME LIKE I'M SOMEONE YOU LOVE, by couples counselor Nancy Dreyfus, Jid Lee's memoir TO KILL A TIGER, and Toshio Nishi’s novel FIREFLIES OF THE EMPIRE.

A graduate of State University of New York at Binghamton (where she majored in comparative literature), Carrie holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She is the author of two children's history books.

At Joelle Delbourgo Associates, Carrie and the editors she oversees work closely with authors to help them to write winning proposals and polished manuscripts for publication, whether or not they are represented by the agency.
