FDR’S SHADOW: Louis Howe, The Force that Shaped Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, Julie M. Fenster.

The author of THE CASE OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN turns her attention to Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, and their relationship with Louis Howe, an advisor who came to live with them in Hyde Park in the Spring of 1922, which coincides with FDR’s paralysis. She will use this time, as the Roosevelts were emerging in New York State politics, and the three-way relationship as a lens through which to view one of our most inluential and respected American presidents.
